Our Community Grants Program offers funding twice a year (March and September) to support impactful, community-focused projects. This program aligns with Programmed's commitment to strengthening communities through initiatives that create real and measurable benefits.


Organizations can apply for a grant of $500 or $1000 to help bring their projects to life, with an emphasis on evidence-based projects that support community development and social good.

How does it work? 


We offer two application periods annually, with deadlines in April and September. Please submit applications through our online form by the relevant date, including supporting documents like a project plan, budget, and promotional plan.


How to Apply


Complete form: Fill out the form providing complete information on your project, including your promotional plan for Programmed.


Submit by deadline: Ensure that your application and all supporting documents are submitted before the intake deadlines (31 March and 30 September) to be considered.


Include documents: Please prepare any necessary supporting documents, such as a budget outline, project timeline, and evidence of anticipated outcomes - we will reach out to you directly for a copy of this additional information at a later date.


Review process: Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our grants committee. Decisions will be communicated within 4 weeks of the deadline.

Key Information - Eligibility

To ensure our grants create the most meaningful impact, we provide funding to organizations that meet specific eligibility requirements.


Eligible applicants: We welcome applications from registered non-profits, charities, and community organizations. These grants are intended to support initiatives that offer measurable community benefits. 


Projects should align with our key focus areas of:

Mental Health

initiatives that promote mental wellness and support mental health services 

Food Security

Programs that address hunger, improve food access, or enhance food sustainability

Recreational Participation

Projects that encourage and facilitate community engagement in recreational and physical activities

Evidence Requirements

Ineligable Applicants

Applications must be based on demonstrated community needs and include evidence-backed goals, such as measurable outcomes and impact metrics.

Please note that Programmed Community Grants cannot be awarded to private enterprises, individuals, or any for-profit ventures.
